German born wheat beer with a cloudy pale, straw-like appearance. Mild sweetness on the nose preluded by a beautiful balance of banana and clove characters on a well-rounded palate. Little hop bitterness, with a dry creamy finish.

Draught at the brewpub on July 14, 2013. As part of a tasting paddle.Listed to have 17 IBU.Hazy to cloudy straw yellow color, white head. Sweet, yeasty, sugary, estery banana, clove phenolic taste, well balanced and fresh. Smooth mouthfeel with some noticeable co2, rather low bitterness. Banana, sweet aftertaste. Sweet, esterty, banana, smooth scent. Some lacing left from the head on the glass.

(bottle) Hazy golden yellow with little head. Interesting, pleasant aroma with banana, esters, citrus and peppery spice. Light body and rather fizzy with coarse bubbles. Sweet banana and citrus start; some peppery spice develops and the finish is clean and citrusy. Overall refreshing, clean and very drinkable but there’s nothing outstanding.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a large white head. High bead. Aroma of lemon, cloves, banana, a slight plasticy note. Very carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly sweet with some fruit but not much bread. Crackery and spicy dry finish rushes up.

From a 330ml bottle on 18/2/2012. Pours a cloudy straw colour with a gushing head. This is ridiculously over carbonated. Has an odd chemcial aroma with some banana and clove. In the mouth, it’s very sweet with some banana and mild spice. Might be passable if it wasn’t for the dud carbonation, but as it is, it’s a disappointment. Best to stick with their stout, which is a cracker.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows light fruit (apples, white grapes), doughy wheat and a hint of lemon.Flavours include some more fruit and wheat but also a grainy/dirty malt character.Carbonation is a bit full on.Another average attempt at a hefeweizen by an aussie brewer... seems to be a style we struggle at.
