Bottle at Ceasar's. Opaque dark brown to black color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, brown malts, boozy a bit, malt bitter, rye barrel aging. Medium body, decent carbonation.

Ook wel lekker. Chocolade, zoet, zacht, hout, beetje bourbon achtig ook wel. Ook echt goed.

Bottle. Dark brown red, frothybeige head, not lasting. Slightly roasted, slightly vinous and a bit of chocolate in the aroma. A bit boozy. Moderate sweetness, slight bitterness. Dry herbal finish. Slightly boozy. Medium body. Not bad.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of rich rye whisky, chocolate, caramel fudge, vanilla, tonka, coconut, sweet cherry and lots of malt. Taste has smooth caramel fudge, rye whisky, vanilla, sweet cherry, chocolate, oak, caramelised malt, smokey licorice, soft coconut and a hot boozy finish. I don't get the beetroot I think, but I could mistake it for sweet cherry. Great ba stout.

Bottle picked from Beer Republic online shop, Tilburg Netherlands and consumed at home Monday 1st June 2020 whilst watching a Film, The Invisible Guest on Netflix. We had Traybake Chicken, Chorizo and Potatoes cooked in the woodoven for tea after a 58km cycle ride. Pours black with a mid sized tan head. Nose is bourbon and a little bit boozy, chocolate and coffee. Rich tasting, malty, bourbon, vanilla, some charred wood, dark fruit, but also surprisingly a lot thinner than I expected. It's okay but not the beer I was hoping for. On the nose is dark, bitter chocolate, vanilla, a touch of spice and whisky. Taste following a similar vibe, btw I don't get the beetroot. Super indulgent, smooth, rich, creamy mouthfeel. Not at all boozy, great.

Goh ik had hier toch een heel ander bier van verwacht, droog, scherp, alcohol, cacao, ‘t is ok maar niet helemaal mijn topper

Bottle, 330 ml shared with Miro B and Max. Black with tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, strong whisky, sweet with harsh bitter finish. Warming. Too rough round the edges. Full bodied.
