Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, roasty, mild beetroot. Taste is full, sharp, mild alcohol heath. Beetroot is mild. Tad bitter, rather sweet. OK. Mild barrel.

ABV: 12.8%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, dark fruit, barrel, plum, prune, wood, oak, vanilla, alcohol - whisky. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, dark malt, sweet malt, barrel, alcohol, rich, boozy, vanilla, alcohol - whisky, earthy notes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20201207]

Can. Black color with beige head. Aroma is indeed some beetroot, with amazing sweet chocolate and mild roast flavours there. Taste is sweet chocolate, some beetroot, caramel and vanilla from the barrel, indeed some rye here, warming finish. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very good, I like the combination, although I don't really like beetroots per se.

Bottle. (thanks SirLimpsalot) Black with a minimal tan head. Aroma and taste of dark malt, whisky, coffee and chocolate. Fairly smooth and with warming alcohol in the finish.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin brown head. Aroma of whiskey, chocolate, roast malts. Taste of whiskey, chocolate, roast malts, caramel, coffee, very nice warming finish without feeling too boozy.

Ziemlich süßer, vollmundig malziger Beginn. Bitterschokolade, Whiskeynoten, klebrig malziger Mittelteil. Intensiv, langer Abgang, weitestgehend rund, dennoch schwierig. 10/11/9/11/8/11
