Bottle@Kennedys Irish Bar, Copenhagen - Pours a light hazed golden orange colour with a white head. Fruity and malty, medium sweet with notes do grapefruit and tangerine with a sweet malty caramel support, medium body, hoppy light bitter finish. Better than expected.

Bottle at Mum and Dads, from Tesco Metro Dundalk, 22/09/18. Is this Double Bangin with a different name? Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is grassy, lemon rind, straw, light pine, weed, orange pith. Taste comprises grapefruit, grassy bite, pineapple, straw, peach, pine dusting, bitter mixed tropical fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with light skunky to grassy hop bitterness. This is a decent, no frills, easy drinking DIPA ... decent for the price point (3 for E10 in Tesco). Is it a repeat of Double Bangin ?

500ml bottle from Tesco Clonmel. After trying the Francis Big Bangin IPA, I had somewhat high hopes for this. Pours an orange-gold, large white head, nice lacing on the glass. BIG hop notes wafting off this one...tropical fruit, some ripe melon, mango, etc. some nice biscuit notes as well. Taste is bold hop bitterness, a little boozy, an obvious malt backbone to combat the hops though.

Bottle from Tesco, Carrick-on-Shannon [020417]
Amber, hazy, frothy fully head, good lacing
Aroma of sweet caramel, dab of toffee, piney hops, hop resins, toffee fruits
Taste of bitter piney hops, citrus zest, caramel, big bitter hops and fairly sweet malts, lots of flavour, alcohol more noticeable than Francis Big Banging
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, good balance of strong bitter and sett flavours. Finish as main lfavour, lots of bitter zest, sweet malts, toffe malt linger, dab of warming alcohol
Overall - Good this is offered in 500 ml bottles. I prefer the less malty, bit more hoppy (more noticeable as less malt), Francis Big Banging but this is a quite a decent DIPA - now we have 2 to choose from this brewery
