We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it’s all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition.

Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of intense vanilla and burnt sugar, caramel, chocolate and coffee. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee finish. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is flat.

22oz bomber from Pick’s poured into a snifter. Pours black with a small bit of dark tan head. Aroma is super sweet. Vanilla, candied brown sugar, butterscotch, some caramel and a little sweet chocolate. Taste is medium-heavy sweet and very lightly bitter. Taste of everything I said above with the addition of booze and bourbon barrel wood. Full bodied with a thick texture. Soft carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, this is awesome. The best I’ve had so far in the Blackwater series.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts intense malty, with notes of strong coffee, toffee and vanilla. Also some earthy notes. Finish well balanced, not alcoholic, warming-malty. A beer to enjoy!

Bomber shared with Brenn79, thanks. Rated this last night on paper. Pours inky black with brown edges and a small beige quickly receding head. Aroma is very confectioneryish. It smells more like French Vanilla coffee creamer than beer. Taste borders on cloying sweet; there’s no way I could drink a whole bottle of it. Has very little bitterness. Tastes exactly like carbonated French Vanilla coffee creamer with alcohol. Not much like beer at all. That doesn’t mean it tastes bad, it’s just a weird diversion from what one expects from beer.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Amazing rich chocolate, vanilla aroma. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch, sweet and thick. I really liked it. Being such a rich stout, one would be enough.

25 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft (have had this 3 times so far with the last one probably being one too much but it is still an amazing beer): A: black with a seemingly liquid mocha head S: extremely dominating & out of this world fantastic, sticky & sweet, crème brûlée, condensed milk, ice cream, vanilla pudding, caramelized sugar, caramel, milk, touch of booze when cold but not when room temperature, T: extremely sweet, you can almost feel liquid white sugar, crème brûlée, vanilla pudding, condensed milk, vanilla ice cream, slight porter aftertaste, once again booze when cold but not when room temperature B: sticky, sugary, tick like melted ice-cream, heavy, I can still taste it, this remains an incredible experience for anyone who has a sweet tooth, this is pure liquid super-condensed desert

66cl Bottle. Clear Dark brown color, medium froathy off white to beige head. Aroma of vanilla milk, burnt sugar , caramel, and chocolate.Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, sugar, vanilla, wood, chocolate, to be honest liquid creme brulee beer ist not fat :D. Initially is impressive, yet it remains a bit artificial and as time progress it is so sticky sweet that becomes annoying.
