Rich nose, good colour, head & lacing. Some coffee & chocolate, with a sweet finish. Something estery going on as well. Not bad considering its strength (in this category).

50cl bottle at ABV 7.4% from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. A chocolate brown pour with a loose beige head and a cherry red glow; aroma of peat smoke and toasted malts; soft and creamy in the mouth, with a light malty body; and a dry lingering smoky finish, with some gently warming alcohol. Thinner than expected, but a fine stout.

50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian (thanks!). Pours very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate with hints of dried fruits, caramel, hops and spices. Medium body. Light to medium sweet with a quite dry and bitter finish. Quite delicious! (2012-11-09)

Draught, Maltainen Metso. Poured dark mahogany color with a thick dense light brown head. Woody, roasted malty, barrel notes, plummy notes. Warming, really nice. Roasted malty, licorice, plummy notes in flavor. Sweet barrel notes quite evident as well. Dry, hoppy finish. Pretty damn good. Even if this isnโt barrel aged, really taste like it. Up 0.4 from bottle.
2012-11-05. Bottled. Poured black color with a creamy brown, lasting head. Aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, light sour notes. the sourness continues in the flavor, also coffee and roasted malt. Quite dry hoppy finish, sweeter finish.
