On tap at Heim, Lillehammer. Close to pitch black with a modest beige head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, Kahlúa, licorice and hints of dark fruits and herbs. Rather sweet and fairly noticeable alcohol, but somehow balanced and certainly quite tasty. Nice dessert. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ekofisk on 23 Sep 2015 at 21:42 - Score: 7

On tap, at Bergen Ølfestival 2014. It’s a black one with an oily pour, topped by a minimal sized light tan head. The aroma is roasted, with chocolate, dark sugar, licorice, some coffee and a faint herbal touch. It’s sweet on the palate, roasted and bitter, with a little warmth. Chocolate, licorice and some coffee too. It’s full-bodied and soft, with a low but suitable level of carbonation. Lasting sweet and roasted finish with coffee, chocolate, licorice and bitterness. Overall, a bit too warming and unbalanced, but nice anyway. 140905

170ml draught as Russian Imperial Stout at Ølhallen in Tromsø. Oily pour revealing a brownish, bubbly hue resting on top of pitch black body. Rich aroma of liquorice and dark spices. Dark malty flavours including ash, chocolate, and pepper. Long-lived aftertaste of liquorice and alcohol warming down the swallow. Velvety in the mouth. Maybe a little too much liquorice in the long run, otherwise a full bodied brew with great sipper qualities (22.09.2014).
