This sweet and full-bodied white beer packs a serious punch with the taste of spices, malt, fruit and yeast.
Every sip is a memorable moment, like the historic day when French explorers met with the First Nations people who came out to greet the Don de Dieu, the ship carrying Samuel de Champlain.

Bottle. Fruity beer with a vanilla sweetness. Small hop bitterness in the end. I miss some tartness or something that would balance the nice sweetness.

Clear golden/orange pour with an attractive fine head.Aromas are the typical Unibroue doughy yeast, some very faint pears and apples and some soapy/wheaty notes.Flavours are somewhat interesting with vanilla, spices, lemon, more doughy yeast and a hint of sharp lemon. A bit too sweet though, which, when combined with the soapiness, becomes almost cloying.High carbonation, but not over the top.

Very golden orange with a very tall head. Very yeasty aroma with strong golden malt, wheat, orange, grapefruits, honey. Very fruity, with lots of citrus, rather sweet indeed, with honey; strong. Strong Belgian yeast character. Good balanced dryness, too, though, from hops and more so yeast and sour touch. Brilliant, sparking, very well balanced. To name a fault, it is a little too sweet and honey-like, maybe.

Bottle marked best before 10-15-11. Pours with a large rocky head over a hazed orange body. Aroma of orange peel, Unibroue house yeast (which I associate with celery), honey, candi sugar and spice. Very fizzy mouthfeel that interferes with enjoying this beer. Taste is sweet with honey, house yeast, bread, candi sugar, alcohol and a touch of diacetyl. A bit hot (alcoholic), but I think that has to do with the beer being somewhat fresh. Too fizzy.

Pours orange with thin white head with good coat of sediment sin bottle. Aroma has plenty of good fruits (banana/apple), ester. Taste, thick sugary mouthfeel, fruits with estery connotations (banana / apple), very sweet an medium carbonation, plenty of grains, notes of Belgian yeast, and one amazing alcohol mouthfeel. This is one solid Belgian strong ale.

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, spicy and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, fruity, spicy and alcohol. I find this balanced and very drinkable. For me this could easy go as a nice Belgium triple.

12 oz bottle. Pours gold with a small white fizzy head. Aroma is strong, sugary apple juice, spice, and a hint of cloves. Flavor is lighter on the apple, but still fairly sweet, with bready malts, cloves, hints of caramel and dark fruits, and a little hoppiness. Not bad.
