Belgian-Style Imperial Wheat Ale
This sweet and full-bodied white beer packs a serious punch with the taste of spices, malt, fruit and yeast.
Every sip is a memorable moment, like the historic day when French explorers met with the First Nations people who came out to greet the Don de Dieu, the ship carrying Samuel de Champlain.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Pours hazy orange with a medium fizzy head that disappears quickly. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, caramel and spice. Taste is the same but with a yeast character and more pronounced. Fizzy.

330ml bottle bought in Brouage, France. Golden-brown in colour with a tight, off-white head that proved long-lived. Aromas of yeast, cloves, coriander and and honey. Flavour was sweetish, with plenty of toffee, overripe pears, more spices and a long, yeasty but dry finish. Excellent.

Bottle: Pale gold pour with a small, fizzy white head. Aroma is fruity and estery. Little bits of yeast. Flavor is much more fruity, some apple and citrus notes. Light Belgian spices and a underlying yeast presence. Rather soft in intensity.

12 oz twist off cap. Big sweet aroma and a pour that is swirling hypnotizing. Gunk on bottom that should be taken advantage of. Hazy off yellow color. The appearance and aroma excels. Strong alky wheat beer taste. Smooth but it certainly is letting you know that it is more than just βbeerβ. Low carbonation, coats mouth and is a bit creamy. Finish is somewhat alky at times, but itβs tuff to hide 9%. More like a strong wheat beer. Iβm not good enough for this brew.

12 oz bottle from Unibroue 8 bottle sampler. Pour is hazy yellow orange with a decent white head. Aroma of spicy sweetness - nutty and yeasty. Taste is a touch sour initially, then the tart earthy sweetness takes over. Finish is yeasty with some heat. Really nice full body.

Very hazy yellow with fine soft white filling and lasing head. Aroma is of yeast, wheat, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), & citrus. Good lacings. Silky smooth & filling palate. Perfectly carbonated. Light sweetness & light warmth. Alcohol is well hidden. Perhaps a bit too sweet - but def. a nice brew!
