Belgian-Style Imperial Wheat Ale

This sweet and full-bodied white beer packs a serious punch with the taste of spices, malt, fruit and yeast.
Every sip is a memorable moment, like the historic day when French explorers met with the First Nations people who came out to greet the Don de Dieu, the ship carrying Samuel de Champlain.

Light orange color, no head. Plumaroma. Alcoholic plum flavor, like a diluted Slibovitz. Thin to medium bodied. Must be hopped, but a really can’t taste it. Sweetish and fruity: I also tasted pineapple. A bit disappointing.

341ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with average, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, biscuity, minimally bready, caramel and wheat malty and yeasty fruity aroma, notes of dried fruit, apricot, peach, yellow apple, a touch of raisin. Taste is sweet, caramel and minimally wheaty malty, fruity, slightly yeasty spicy, notes of yellow apple, hints of peach and apricot, dried yellow stone fruit, a touch of raisin, date, fig, clove overtones; creamy texture, very smooth, soft and silky palate. Superbly balanced, clean but not undercomplex. Very good.

341ml bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark orange, hazy, with limited and evaporating foam. Aroma is malty, caramel. Body is dense but very carbonated. Some alcoholic feeling. Taste is pretty sweet, with limited bitterness. Finish is fairly long.

17th Sep 2018; monthly beer share in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, usual five suspects in attendance. Cork and caged 750ml bottle, cheers to me for sharing such a lovely beer! Light mist in the golden body, snow white crown. Spicy and wheaty, liked it a lot; a wheat triple isn't something you come across too often, really enjoyed this (wish I'd kept the bottle at home and drank it all myself to be honest).

660ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep '18 courtesy of Jeremy. Pours misty gold, pure white head. Sweet nose. Taste is smooth, fairly strong and sweet to taste, presents a fairly interesting swirling sweetness, candied icing. Decent.

Bottle @ Malt & Mold sampling. Pours cloudy dull yellow with small foamy whitish head, earthy aroma with dough-coriander-nutmeg, high carbonation, mildly bitter earthy taste with a bit of salt, smooth body, long medium bitter spicy finish. Almost like a winter warmer.
