Anaranjada. Turbia. Espuma muy abundante propia del estilo. Aroma no muy agradable, algo lacteo y frutal. Sabor cansino, descompensado, principalmente dulce frutal, mango, plátano. Poco que aportar. Mediocre.

0,5 l bottle. Murky pale poprange in the glass, huge head. Herb fruity on the nose. Starts with the expeccted banana and a lot of orange. Sweetness, low yeast and wheat on the second row. Dry sequences in the afteraste. Little bit above average.

Tap at Salon piva KE. Aroma clove, banana, basement, spicy. Hazy golden colour. Moderately stable head. Taste goes in the established direction. Like a classic hefeweiss with a bit of basementy funk to mix it up. Quite good actually, sessionable.

*Old rating, best before 02-2009. Mild-weiches, leicht karamelliges Weizen. Rund, nicht zu tief, lecker.

Bottle, gift from cafe Vingerhoeds, BB 11-2013, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, huge frothy off-white head. Aroma is spicy, slight banana, more clove, lots of wheat, bit citrus, bit cardboard (it’s a bit old bottle, I know). Bit sweet in taste, slight citrussy bitterness. Finishes spicy and bit dry. Wheat is quite prominent. Still pretty good beer.

Bottle. Slight hazy tan with big fluffy and long lasting white head. Cloves, dough, creamy curry, lots of fruits with overripe banana, apricots, red apple. Creamy feel with average carbonation. Lovely weizen.

0,5 l bottle from REWE in Bonn. Cloudy golden-yellow with an orange touch, creamy white head. Weak aroma of yeast and banana. Taste is more intense: banana, yeast, grains, bread, a bit metallic as well. Slightly sour. Average carbonation, medium to full body. Somewhat musty finish. Surely not perfect but a solid Weizen. A bit boring but highly quaffable.

Graham cracker, banana, clove nose, not strong. Clear amber, enormous yellowish head. Tart lemon and apple flavor, banana notes are very subtle. Medium body, soft carbonation. A little lackluster and boring. Weak overall.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 15A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L211107. AROMA: wheat malt profile dominates. low to no esters (bubblegum and banana). some yeast aroma. APPEARANCE: light amber color and hazy. slight ivory average head with good retention. FLAVOR: strong wheat profile with some bready yeast notes. none to very faint esters or phenols. PALATE: medium-light body and high carbonation. OVERALL: a weizen that lacks the traditional aromas of banana and vanilla.
