The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

Draft. Enjoyed the balance of bitter and sweet in this IPA. Copper body with off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit with notes of pine and caramel. The flavor is moderately bitter and moderately sweet. Medium body and good carbonation for a nice mouthfeel.

2007 bottle. Pours an orange/amber color with a small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is very hoppy with light citrus. The taste is light hop with a smooth finish. A very well done IPA by Sierra Nevada.

Bottle. Poured pale orange amber with thick white head. Citrusy, hoppy aroma lovely. Hoppy, piney flavour with fine malt balance. Bitter, hoppy finish. Truly a fine IPA.

12oz Bottle Pours out a nice clear amber topped with a off white head. A very nice hop aroma. Tast of hops not rael strong. Not bad was looking for something a little better from Sierra as a Anniversary ale.

Pour is a orange with a lasting white head. Aroma is some floral hop with notes of honey. Flavor is a bit off with some hops coming through but not much else. This brewer has one of the best beers out there with their pale ale and it is hard to beat that. This one falls short.

12 oz bottle; kind of weak nose of ivy plants from the hops; amber with a big yellow-tinged head; flavor of mild hop bitterness, much less than their regular IPA, lemon hints are there also and the mild hops last to the finish.

On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 11/25/2008. Clear copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with floral and grassy hops. Sweet floral hop flavor with light caramel and resiny notes. Medium full body wtih moderate carbonation. 7/3/8/3/15 - 3.6 09/01/2007: On tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma. Sweet citrus hops flavor, light caramel and a slightly grainy finish. 7/3/6/3/13 - 3.2

A nice easy drinking ipa. Aroma has moderate hops and some malt. Flavor has malt, almost bitter malt, and floral hops. It does down easy enough.

[re-rate - my palate was a bit off when I last had this - actually fairly low in the bitterness department, with a dry-ish mineral quality, and a british ESB-like malt backbone - a nice session ale] How did I know this was going to be an IPA? - fizzy, clear straw-colored beer that fails to kick up any sort of head - just a few stray bubbles along the edge of the glass - fairly generic, earthy, piney hop aroma, with a sort of citrus tanginess - the flavor isn’t as hoppy as the aroma suggests - herbal, tea-like flavors, with some citrus undertones and medium raw sugar sweetness - hops cling to the tea flavors and compliment them pretty well - kind of thin - hops stand out most in the finish - one of quite a few IPAs I’ve had that taste like "hoppy iced tea" - not exactly a good thing - a sub-par IPA from a maker of some great ones.

Bottle: Pours a dark golden color with lots of bubbles and a large, foamy white head. Thick lacing. Nose of citrus and piney hops, plenty of malty sweetness. Taste is more malty than the aroma lets on, smooth with floral and piney hops in the tail. Dry, lingering finish. Lacks flavor up front. Thanks Jordan!
