400ml bottle from the brewpub
Pours dark brown with a small smooth white head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is malty with slight hints of roastiness, fruits and coffee. Finish is roasty and malty. Okay, but slightly unbalanced.

Bottle. A fingerthick, dense, beige head sits on top of a dark brown body. Roasted, chocolatey caramel aroma with some dark coffee and a hoppy note and some hints of dms it seems. Some raisin. Medium to full body, quite dry and pleasantly carbonated. The flavor has roasted malts and a touch of licorice and caramel, some bitterness balances the finish. A quite nice brown ale, but I can’t help thinking it’s a bit boring. 120324

Bottle from Netto. clear brown, smooth light brown head. Head seems a little sort of forced carbonated (like a sodapop) but apart from that the beer presents itself very nicely. close to a 4.. Nutty aroma, bitter caramel, dry malts, Good aroma for the abv. Flavor is nutty bitter, caramelly bitter, with a slight metallic or flowery touch, or is it metallic hoppy bitterness? chocolate, roasted malts.. a very dry malty beer. Pretty flavorfull but the bitterness is a bit too herbal/fruit peely/ bitter nutty for my taste. Needs more sweet malts and alc. to balance ;-).

Bottle 40 cl. Pours an opaque dark brown with a beige head. Farty phenolic aroma atop some chocolaty richness. Medium body, low carbonation, chocolate and herbs(!). No real bitterness. Odd if interesting. 251211
