Bottle. Dark red/brown with a small head. Sour aroma of berries, wood, vinegar, lemons. The taste was refreshing but not that sour, reminded a bit of a "Rodenbach light." Not bad at all, would like to try this one again.

Deep dark red/brown coloured body with a very dense, frothy light brown head that doesn’t explode out of the bottle, but shows a lot of carbonation throughout. Aroma of great sour grapes, cherries, oak, vinegar, lemons and a touch of limes - makes the mouth water, literally. Medium-bodied; Effervescent feeling with a strong pungent malt and hop bitterness up front that this style doesn’t usually show with the more common vinegar and sour grapes following behind. A splash of cherry bitterness and a oaky and metallic dryness finishes the beer. Aftertaste is a good complex feeling with all of the aforementioned tastes battling it out. Overall, a nice sour beer with more of a deep and oaky feeling than most. Not the best sour I’ve had for sure, but a good one to try if you like the style, like I do. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in St. Petersburg, Florida on 13-November-2010 sampled it as my congratulatory beer for my PR in my latest marathon (SunTrust National 2011) on 27-March-2011 at home in Washington.

A reddish brown ale with a thick big bubbled brown head. In aroma, a strange herbaceous lactic malt, some fusel and wood extracts. In mouth, sweet cloying malt with loads of bilous material, bizarre and disapointing...not good. Tasted March 12 2011 with Montreal crew.

Bottle: Poured a dark thick brown with dark burgundy edges. The head was huge off white head. Aroma is sour fruit and yeast. Taste is gritty dirt with sour fruit and dark malts. A very fitting beer named after one unique man.

Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany colour. Tart vinegary nose. Medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Black cherries, caranel and lots of citric acid. Firm and vinous. Interesting, tasty sour ale.
