Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark brown / red colored beer. Smell mostly malts. Pretty average taste, decent but pretty dull.

bottle@outside/friend’s forest - shared: poured medium chestnut brown with a light brown head, plenty of sweet malts, medium caramel, fruits upfront (lots of plums) & nuts, slightly roasted & bit off-tasting spices in the finish which don’t really seem to belong there, ok beer but could have been a lot better

Nice bottle for a koninck beer. The beer however is not that special. It’s pretty much a drink and forget beer.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 5/8/11
Aroma: The aroma is rather sweet consisting mostly of caramel malts and fruity notes
Appearance: A cloudy reddish rust looking color with a lasting, frothy beige head and lots of lacing
Flavor: This one tastes medium sweet, fruity, with some malts, yeast, and spice notes to it
Palate: The mouthfeel is rather tingly with a medium body, and rather fizzy carbonation
Overall Impression: There is something a bit muddled about this one. It isn't bad, but maybe overly simplistic in addition to being muddled. I would describe this one as a slight miss. Not completely off or anything, but between the slightly muddled flavor, the one-dimensionalness, and the overly fizzy/airy mouthfeel, I just thought it could have been better.

Clamped 750 from Oak Tree. Red? Pours hazy dark amber/brown with a 3 finger creamy beige head. Nice aromas of fruit and spice - almost a touch of cherry. Near full body. Strong carbonation. It’s fruit and spice and everything nice. It seems very balanced. Finishes with fruit and bitter. It has no special super taste aspect, just very nice ale. Excellent.

Bottled 750ml (bought from Bier Tempel, Brussels)
Rating #7800.
Deep red color, good creamy off-white head. Very berryish aroma - cranberries, strawberries. Medium-bodied. Flavor is also berryish, and I taste some cork too. Bitter, slightly tart finish. Expected more, more less just an ordinary Belgian style strong amber ale.

Almost no aroma, just some earth and a tiny bit of dark fruits. Yeasty, earthy flavor with amber malts. Boring.
