Anker Blonde is brewed artisnally with the best natural ingredients by the established Anker Brewery since 1369. This top fermented lager is very refreshing thanks to its balance between pale malt and refined hops. Tastes quite fresh at 6° - 8° C.

2009 Vintage@Kulminator – labaled Margriet: pours a clear yellow with a white head, smell and taste are pretty much the same, sweet hops with yeast, spice (coriander maybe), honey and fruits, I am actually getting some white grapes in the aroma of this, very good standard style beer

Originally sampled July 2009. Purchased at the LCBO, going under the name Margriet. Best before date is 10/02/11. This Belgian ale (which does not look like one, judging from the label) came pouring out of the bottle, and created a big white frothy head. Retention is long, lacing is patchy all around and colour of brew is a hazy golden-yellow. The nose is reminiscent of a Belgian ale, with some wit yeast and some citrus notes. Smooth mouthfeel with a little dry finish and very mild tart. Taste of a Belgian ale, with that typical malt/yeast combination and a nice light aftertaste of grain malt with a very subtle touch of honey. Quite refreshing overall and a decent Belgian ale.

Bottle at Den Stillen Genieter. Sour bubblegum flavor hints at the presence of wheat. Nice character for a blonde, a pleasant surprise.

Odd light ruby tinted golden body when poured, showing more hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish (one centimetre tall) white head. Aroma of nice malty, honey, yeastie, coriander seed and a good amount of curacao. Very pleasant aroma! Medium-bodied; Assertive spicey flavour mostly showing lightish tastes, a good mild malty taste in the middle ending with some vaguely sweet taste of honey. Aftertaste shows nice mild flavours like grass, floral and herbal tastes. Overall, a fairly good beer, on the light side, but showing some good characteristics throughout. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from the LCBO (Summerhill) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 11-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 14-December-2009.

5th September 2008. Bottle labelled ’Margriet’. Not entirely convinced this is the same beer as ’Blond’. The Margriet is brewed with Rose Buds! Very frothy cloudy amber beer. Bone dry. Slightly wheat beer like but with a bitterish edge. An unusual taste in the finish, rose buds? Just too dry!

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy blond color ale with a super huge foamy head with good retention and perfect retention. Aroma of coriander, sweet fruit ester with a touch of peach and some Belgian malt. Taste is very refreshing with great notes of Belgian malt with lightly sweet notes and great spices mix with light notes of coriander and orange peel with fruity ester. Body is quite full with perfect carbonation. This one really hits the spot and I quiet enjoy those easy to drink Belgian pale ale in the summertime.

Bottle as Margriet. Pours gold with a very frothy/fluffy white head. Light malt aroma with a touch of veg. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor of malt and some sort of veg or mild spice I can’t identify. Some citrus. Finishes dry. Ok beer.
