Anker Blonde is brewed artisnally with the best natural ingredients by the established Anker Brewery since 1369. This top fermented lager is very refreshing thanks to its balance between pale malt and refined hops. Tastes quite fresh at 6° - 8° C.

Bottle (as Margriet): deep golden and a bit unclear, extremely creamy and stable white "blanket"; orangey-fruity and delicate lemony-hoppy nose, backed by a faint tinge of alcohol; moderate to solid sweetish-sourish flavour, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; finishes fruity-sweetish with a light tartness. A pleasant brew, lacks complexity.....

Bottle (as Margriet). Slightly hazy pale golden colour, huge fluffy/foamy white head. Aroma is yeast, fruityness, earth and some slight spices. Also mild alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is quite much the same. Fullpalate, but a bit too sweet in the flavour.

Pours with a massive light foam head. Crisp, sharp taste with lots of gas. Spicy flavour with some citrus coming through.

(33cl bottle, as Margriet) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Yeasty and moderately sweet malty aroma with notes of bread and coriander spice. Moderately sweet flavour with a noticeable level of bitterness, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Almost dry malt-character, faint fruity taste with spicy notes from the beginning, getting a bit harsh towards the slightly alcoholic finish. Not one of my Belgian faves (02.V.09).

HAzy golde ncolor with medium creamy head. Citric aromas, malt flavors with some spicy hints (coliander and cinammon among others). Ok but not over the top.

Athos. Hazy straw colour with a big, fluffy head. Lightly floral aroma with light tropical fruit accents (mango, papaya). Soft sugar malts, a little bit confectionary and still fairly refreshing. Decent beer, maybe a bit doughy in the finish.

Anker Blond: Hazy beige. Light head. Yeasty nose is slightly lemony with vaguely strawlike malts. Spritzy with a spicy astringency, like cinnamon bark or cardamom pod. Finishes dry, anisey and slightly earthy. Ok brew, nothing special. 6-3-6-3-13 = 3.1

Bottle: Poured a murky orange yellow with a huge carbonated white lacing head. The bottle blew up on opening thats how carbonated it was. The aroma is a fruit with spice that open the airway. Taste is perfume and spice very overwhelming with a pine hoppiness in the finish.

33 cL bottle, as Margriet. Pours hazy orange/yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is fruity yeasty. Fizzy carbonation. Quite spiced yeasty, de dolle like, mild wheaty like and light caramel malt flavour. Ends with a lingering spice note.
