Anker Blonde is brewed artisnally with the best natural ingredients by the established Anker Brewery since 1369. This top fermented lager is very refreshing thanks to its balance between pale malt and refined hops. Tastes quite fresh at 6° - 8° C.

[Courtesy of yespr, session @ yespr] Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with overripe fruits.. Reminds me of Rochefort yeast. Flavor is sweet and refreshing with fruity and yeasty notes.

Margriet. 0.33 l bottle. Poured murky yellow body with big white head. Standard belgian ale aroma of banana with some citrus hops. Flavor full, a bit bitter though, that is felt in the finish which is also a bit sweetish. Bit watery flavor, could have more in it. Medium carbonation, which is not easily seen and oily texture. Great beer for other beers, but I tried better for its type.

Bottled, as Margriet at the Hopdevil in Zagreb. Poured a big, thick white head that went away slowly. A lovely murky orange body. The nose is quite fruity, notes of tangerines and yeast. The taste is pleasant enough, orange, yeastiness, some lacticity (odd), weak metallic hints and alcohol/weak bitterness in the unspectacular finish and aftertaste. A good beer, but the worst I’ve had so far from one of my favorite breweries.

The label said this was brewed for a special event in Mechelen in 2005, and it was sold as Margariet. Sweet, fruity aroma of a tripel. Gold color and more clear than cloudy. Light carbonation. More sweet fruit and malt in the flavor. A good beer, well balanced and with good flavor.

Bottle (labelled as Margriet Feestelijk Cultuurbier) Picked up from the Little Beer Shop, Ludlow, Salop 10-03-07. Poured a murky amber colour and was very lively when top taken off the bottle to the extent that I lost about a quarter of the bottle before I’d got my glass out of the cupboard. Aroma was a bit spicy and yeasty, Taste not that exciting really and something of a disappointment, yeasty, malty flavour nothing special at all 2.8 Cask at JDW The Penny Black, Bicester, Oxon 04-11-07 Pale golden pour with white bubbly head, some spices and banana picked up on this occasion, perhaps a bit too sweet but otherwise not bad at all. 3.2

Bottle ("Margriet Feestelijk Cultuurbier"). Cloudy golden, impressive off-white foamy head. Fruity, ’typical’ belgian yeast, mineral notes. Fairly light body, a stab of alcohol and fusel, vineous, wooden and mineralic notes.
