Anker Blonde is brewed artisnally with the best natural ingredients by the established Anker Brewery since 1369. This top fermented lager is very refreshing thanks to its balance between pale malt and refined hops. Tastes quite fresh at 6° - 8° C.

Cask handpull at County Hotel (JDW), Ashford. Golden, thick white head. Belgian yeast aroma, banana and peach. Soft in mouth, more peach/apricot on finish with tingle of hop and dryness. Good easy drinking beer and deceptively strong Belgian golden ale.

Bottle, BBE September 5, 2008 Off-white head with a good lace. Lasts mostly. Hazy, orange body. Nose of cookies, oranges, perfume and lots of flowers. Lightly acidic, moderately bitter initial flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. (Long lasting) Lightly to medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Nice beer, not really in the Anker style. Pleasant drinkable, but still not superb balanced.

A yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is very spicy - with coriander standing out. The flavor is spicy again with coriander standing out - but also some musky flavors, leading to dry end. Not my beer - it is too much like a deodorant I wouldn’t use.

[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] A hazy amber beer with a fine head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander - and so is the flavor. An OK beer.

Rerate: Tap, Beer passion 2006. Hoppy and flowery aroma, quite strong. Good strong taste, bit alcoholic even. Better than the bottled one. Original rating: 2.7. Bottled. Hazy yellow color, big white head. Aroma is bit sweet, very sour fruity of apple, citrus/lemon and a hint of pineapple. Taste is slightly sour, moreover bitter. Bit off-balanced and disappointing for Brewery Het Anker.

(Bottle 75 cl) Beautiful fully golden beer with a fine, creamy head and a rather high carbonation. Lightly fruity and perfumy nose with a touch of yeast. Lightly sweet malt and pronounced notes of coriander. Rather dry and slightly sulphurous finish. No real bitterness. Huge yeast sediment clouds the last inch or so of this beer. 080705

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, golden ale with a small, white, creamy head. Very perfumy nose. Rather sweet and spicy and again very perfumy flavours. Interesting. 030705

Good white, dense head; well-carbonated beer, golden with a cold haze. Soapy, a little spicey nose. Lots of malts figuring here already. Bitterish onset, quite dry, spices seemingly creeping up slowly, but never getting outspoken. Generally quite sweet, but with surrounding bitterness and a toasted flavour that reaches into a burning MF. Some body, obviously, flashing more alcohol than its ABV. Not bad, as they come. I seriously doubt this would be a label clone from Margriet - but it is... says the brewery. Good balance overall.Earlier Rating: 7/2/2005 Total Score: 3.3 under the name of "Margriet"Huge just off-white head, whipped cream-like, slowly collapsing; pale golden clear beer. Very wheaty nose, slightly spiced - coriander - pale malts. Toasted, roasted malts flavour, ad odds with the colour; some coriander but not overly so. Quite some sweetness, but nowhere the raisiny kind usual for Gouden Carolus. More neutral, soft-spiced finish. Some burning, medium bodied, fluffy MF, rather dry after all. Hmmm... will be trying Anker blond one of these days. Really curious as how much they differ... Reasonable blonde, nothing more.

Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Hazy golden, small creamy head.. Light citrusy nose. Malt and vanilla flavour, soft mouthfeel, balanced sweetness. Velvetty honey finish. Subtile, but with great quality.

2007-08-02, draught at Moeder Lambic, Bruxelles, as Margriet, 6-4-6-3-13=32
Misty blond color; thick creamy head. The aroma is delicate, perfumy, lightly fruity, light flowers (lily), positively soapy. Medium-light body structure, some malt flavor, light spices, quite sweet front with a drier aftertaste; correct bitterness, but a bit short. Refreshing.

Hazy blond color. Quite good (but simple) blond beer. A bit fruity. Reasonable hopping.
