Sampled at the brewery, December 2015. I entered this as a dubbel because the alcohol is far too low for a quad, in my opinnion, too low even for a Belgain strong. Given the dark color and malt forward qualities with fruit, dubbel is the best classification I think. Dark brown color, lacing head. Aroma has sweet malt, yeast. Sweet flavor, raisin, some cherry and caramel but alcohol is a prominent character of the flavor or the palate. It is good. Not getting any bourbon, and that is good.
