Similar to Belgian-style Strong Pales, the Tripel is often characterized by its lighter color, spicy aromatics, and complexity. Brother David’s Triple is brewed with copious amounts of pale malts as well as Belgian candi sugar, giving it a deep golden hue, medium body and rich mouth feel. The dense head gives off aromas of candied orange peel, clover honey, pears, and a hint of freshly mown fields. The fruity esters and spicy hop flavors balance the phenolic characteristics leading to a peppery, citrusy finish.

Copperbrown beer with a medium and beige head. Aroma is sweet and fruitfull, cooked bananas, some yeastiness and also alcohol, but not too much. Almost full bodied, nice carbonation and surprisingly fresh to drink. Taste is fruitfull, bananas, only hint of peppery spicyness in aftertaste, also warming alcohol. Quite simple and not so tripel -like beer, because of low spicyness. Overally, there are too much of alchol, it’s not tasting, but it’s slightly too dominant. This beer based on strong and sweet fruitness.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Light amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of candied fruit, caramel, alcohol. Taste, tropical fruits, honey, yeast, alcohol. Maybe some aging could be good for this beer. Drinkable, but to sweet for me.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear amber colour, creamy off white head. Aroma of fruity esters, mostly banana, very sweet, alcohol. Flavour is very sweet, malty, fruity, banana again, loads of alcohol. A high ABV version of Leffe blond, not good. The only thing that distinguishes this from malt liquor is the creamy mouthfeel.
