Aroma wasn’t too bad with wet grain yeast and a little bit of fresh hops. What flavor is where it really fell down with a lot of oxidation and bitterness. I definitely wouldn’t get another one of these.

Bottle, 75cl. As Matthias Müller La Prima. A super-gusher producing a huge off-white head. Some lacing. Fruity aroma with peaches, banana, a light Belgian yeasty touch and some spice notes and a light malty hint. Orange notes. It’s quite dry on the palate, rather effervescent, and medium bodied, with a pleasant bitterness. Oranges, some banana and spices and a malty backdrop. Long orangey, spiced and yeasty finish. A quite decent one, sort of crossover between an American pale ale, a Belgian ale and a German pilsner. 160610

75cl bottle sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew as Matthias Müller Primo.

Fruchtig hopfiger, klar bitterer Antrunk. Grasig mit geringer Süße, der Hopfen wird bereits im Mittelteil schwächer, das Bier bleibt süffig. Gelungen. 10/10/11/11/9/11

50cl bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden colour with a huge good lasting white head. Aroma of apples, some hops, pale malt and yeast. Taste is sweet malty, apples, apricot, medium hops, strange stuff...

(bottle, as Apostelbräu First Bavarian Pale Ale) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, grapefruit and sweat, backed by minimally grainy malt. Mildly bitter and delicately sour flavour, rather light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slim malty and slightly wheaty base with notes of citrus and grapefruit; dry, moderately bitter and sour-fruity finish. 10.VIII.15

bottle, courtesy of pivnizub! Hazy orange colour, fluffy white head, fruity nose. Medium-bodied, malty start with quite pleasant fruity flavours and a pleasant hoppy bitterness. Much better than expected.

Bottle(as Apostelbräu First Bavarian Pale Ale): Cloudy to "milky", big off-white - very stable - and very creamy head; sourish-grainy nose with aromas of unripe wheat, turpentine and yeast; moderate dry sourish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, slightly adstringent MF; lingering sourish-fruity and bitter finish. Too sour, no pleasure…
