Collaboration with Umezushi sushi restaurant. Gari - or Japanese pickled ginger - is eaten as a palate cleanser when eating sushi. Our Gari Gose is brewed in collaboration with Manchester Sushi legends Umezushi using Kombu (seaweed), sushi rice, root ginger and preserved wah plums. Gari Gose is slightly sour, slightly savoury and super refreshing.

Tap at the Port Street beer house. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with no head. Aroma is sour milk, yogurt, lemon,. Flavour is composed of thin grains, milky, sour milky, thin grains, lactose, sickly, ginger. Palate is thin, semi sweet z chalky, moderate carbonation. Meh.

Keg at Port Street Beer House, 03/10/19. Hazed yellow to golden with an off white cap. Nose Carries a salty air, stale bread, hay bale, damp cloth. Taste comprises lemon rind, foraged herb, grass, light spice, salt lick, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent up front Gose if touch perfumed.
