On tap at Marble, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is heavily roasted and hopped, with intense woody roasted malt and loads of pine cone hops. Flavour is mega-roasty and hoppy, almost seeming more like a black IPA — there's a huge amount of roasted malt and piney hops here in good balance. Assertive and tasty black IPA/stout. Very good.

Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Roasted grains and coffee. Dark chocolate. Taste is roasted bitter the whole way through. Medium-bodied, slight wateriness in the texture. Good, basic stout.

Draft at brewery. Dark, black pour, small bubbly tan head, streaky lacing. Aroma comes off as roasty with a sweet edge. Taste comes together beautifully, roasty, sweet, hoppy. Full, tasty, leaving the tongue tingling.

12oz can pours with a deep dark body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, chicory, chocolate and faint coffee. The taste delivers similar notes as dark roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate and chicory all mingle seamlessly from front to back. This is a really nice stout.
