Cask at Old Bell, Derby Pours a golden copper with a small white head. Mainly just a generic hoppiness in the nose – though there are some hints of pine resin. In the mouth oranges and grains dominate, along with some honey and traces of berry fruits. The finish is bitter wityh some citrus leanings. It’s a reasonable.

Handpull cask from the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Very dark gold, almost bronze, with the slightest reddening hue. Do we with some white head on top. Lots of lacing. Light smell of hay with floral notes, a bit of TCP, some agave syrup. Bitter taste with an astringency that sticks to the roof of your mouth. Some sticky honey in the finish. Not bad but unremarkable and a bit harsh.
