Paradigm Shift is a Enhanced Red Ale. Enhanced with what you may ask?... Shed loads of Bravo & Calypso hops in the boil and for dry hopping, the ale gets it’s red colour and maltiness from high levels of Caramalt used in the mash. This is not your average red, it is brewed to challenge your conceptions of what a red ale is. This is not nutty, bland & watery but big & bold; malty but with a serious hoppiness to back it up.

Bottle. Copper with a light beige head. that’s soon a coat. Aroma of butterscotch, lemon, pine. Not as sweet as expected and quite clean with restrained toffee, bread, firm bitterness with lemon and pine needles. Slightly odd, pretty good.

Bottled@fonefan. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is diacetylic, some fruity and floral notes. Flavour is buttery, diacetylic with a bunch of sugar. The diacetyl kind of ruined it for me.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg, BBE 12/2015
Aroma has butterscotch, toffee and sweet caramelly malt. Flavour has minerals, some toffee, butterscotch and mild grassy tones. Sweet all the way, not that drinkable.
