Paradigm Shift is a Enhanced Red Ale. Enhanced with what you may ask?... Shed loads of Bravo & Calypso hops in the boil and for dry hopping, the ale gets it’s red colour and maltiness from high levels of Caramalt used in the mash. This is not your average red, it is brewed to challenge your conceptions of what a red ale is. This is not nutty, bland & watery but big & bold; malty but with a serious hoppiness to back it up.

33cl bottle, bbe Dec 2015. Deep amber, thin bubbly white head. Huge aroma when pouring into the glass, I get toffee, caramel, faint nutty notes, hops, sweet tropical fruits. Wow. Flavor has caramel, fudge, toffee candy, fruity hops. Massive, medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Awesome brew.

(weakly capped bottle, 33cl) Hazy, brown colour with a short and tanned foamy layer. Piney and mildly fruity hoppy aroma with notes of slightly toasted malt and caramel. Moderately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a flat carbonation. Dry and mildly toasted malt character with hints of caramel and a present piney/resiny and slightly fruity hoppy bite; dry and moderately bitter hoppy and slightly piney finish with notes of caramel in the aftertaste. 08.XI.14

330ml bottle. Clear, dark amber to mahogany colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with citrusy hoppy overtones, notes of orange, mandarine, stinging-nettle, a piney and nuttily touch. Taste is dry, herbal, bitter hoppy, stinging-nettle, caramel malty background is almost devoid of malt-sweetness.

Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and a little crispy. Caramel toffee malts, dry and a little thin. Piney hops have sweet floral tang and a little ripe orange underneath. Smooth finish. All elements come together well and make for a smooth and drinkable beer.

BOTTLE 33 CL.

Look: clear dark mahogany, small beige head.
Aroma: quote a bit of hops with even more malts. Together they create a strong sweet and tart fruity aroma, some stale fruit, yeast, more caramel, some more pungent hops notes too.
Taste: hppy with lots of caramel, moderate sweet and hoppy bitter finish.
