REPUBLIKA is our British Craft lager that just can’t stop winning awards – it’s picked up 11 to date. Using authentic Saaz hops, Czech yeast along with Pilsner malt, we ferment for two weeks before ‘lagering’ for a further 6 weeks. The result of this long wait is a refreshing, full flavoured pilsner lager with a balanced, rounded taste.

Keg at The Union Tavern, London on 24 June. Pleasant session lager, far better than most of its style produced in the UK. Slight haze to the pour, good sweet malts balanced by a little grassy hops.

On tap a the brewery (a couple of halves courtesy of Will whilst filling 2 litre bottles for a BBQ) 28/07/12. Pale blonde in colour with a small frothy white head. Grassy/Hoppy to the nose, perhaps with a hint of citrus. Great tasting lager, toasted Czech malts, you can taste the Saaz, straw, medium sweet flavour, light spice and I get a hint of honey in the aftertaste. Very crisp and refreshing! Good body to this lager and a crisp dry bitter finish.

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear pale gold beer. Decent off white head. Light palate, airy but a little crisp and dry. Lagerish malt but no paper. A little citrus hop. Semi dry finish. Standard lager but brewed well.
