Cask. Chantry Inn, Handsworth, Sheffield. Light haze on a dark, copper brown. Thin and super dense, fully lacing, lasting, beige head. Nose has light roast coffee bean and well done crusty bread. Some vine fruit. Some tangy hop leaf. Taste is a little tangy, too. Light bitterness and a flicker of sweetness on the lips. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Light vinous bitterness to finish. Sort of a light stout feel to it. Nice.

6/6/2019. Cask at the 28th Doncaster Beer Festival. Pours dark bronze with a lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dried fruit, light chocolate and light hops. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Light toasty malty finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask-conditioned, in the company of imdownthepub at the Gryphon, Bristol 27/4/2019. Deep, ruddy-brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Brown sugar, a touch of berry fruits, vaguely toasty, bready, malts and a gentle finish. Fine.
