Bottle. Dark brown in colour, with a beige, creamy, head. Aroma od prune, leafy hops, plain chocolate and charred malts. Flavour had some brown sugar, a creamy edge, more chocolate and a toasty finish. A pleasant, sweetish, stout.

7/6/2019. Cask at the 28th Doncaster Beer Festival. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, light roasted malt, coffee and touch of liquorice. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice Festival finisher.

Cask half-pint, hand-pulled at the 44th Telford Beer & Drinks Festival at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 5th May 2018. Dark brown body, lightly tanned foam head. Malty, with some chocolate notes in the nose and flavour, mild roasted/toasted feel to the maltiness. I didn't pick up any Oatmeal in the smooth semi-sweet, semi-bitter brew.
