Draught @ Gasthausbrauerei Stiefelbräu / Zum Stiefel, Am Stiefel 2, Saarbrücken, Saarland, Germany 66111.Unclear medium amber colour with a average, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet caramel, toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet toffee, sweet caramel, burnt caramel - sugar bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121004]

Little cloudy red to mud brown beer, creamy light beige head, pretty stable, very adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: some mocha, dried fruits, red berries, bit bready, yeast, stable. MF: soft carbon, medium body, creamy texture. Taste: quite some mocha, milk chocolate, butterscotch, caramel, hint of dried fruits. Aftertaste: mocha, bit of coffee, soft bitter hops, some chocolate. Pretty decent brew!

Malzig-säuerlicher, wenig durchdachter Antrunk. Die Säuerlichkeit setzt sich lange fort, bis sie dem schon früher verschwundenen Malz in den Hintergrund folgt. Etwas herb, leicht röstig. Trinkbar. 10/6/7/6//6

Tap at brewpub. Toffee malt and light hops aroma. Hazy amber color with nice head. Sweet buttery toffee and light bitter hops flavor. Medium body. Solid but standard dunkel.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy amber color; generous head. Light aroma of caramel and some hop. It has a simple caramel flavor, quite dry because of the bitterness, and the body structure tends to be weaker in the final. Balanced but monodimensional.
