First brewed in 2008. We brew Wandle Ale using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma.

Clear medium amber colour, small frothy white head, recedes quickly, light lacing. Toasted malt aroma, grainy, caramel, citrus notes. Taste is medium sweet and bitter, light fruitiness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mild bittersweet, spicy accents in the finish, decent bitter.

Bottle: Deep golden, almost clear, a certain haze is visible, small - slowly collapsing - loose white head; mild fruity-toasty nose with a very small amount of hops; mild bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; toasted malt and secret fruits in the short dryish bitter and slightly sweet finish. nothing wrong with it, just a bit thin...

Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Clear golden to lightly copper color, small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, I get mango and peach mainly. Taste is moderately malty with hops coming through nicely and again a nice fruity touch of mango and peach. Soft bitter finish. Quite pleasant imo.

Bottle at home, from ABM, 01/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a well appointed off white head that soon dissipates to a covering. Nose is bready malts, Enlgish hops, light caramel and biscuit notes, fruit peel. Taste comprises much the same, light floral and vanilla. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, moderate bitterings in the close. Ok bitter, definately better on cask as you would expect.
