IPA featuring Loral and Citra hops

Stone Exalted IPA represents the elevated state of reverence that Stone extols for the venerable and almighty Hop. Loral & Citra hops have been anointed to bestow their divine qualities on this sacred brew. This limited release is part of Stone’s Hop Worship Seasonal IPA Series…Glory be to those who imbibe it in its freshest form…and faithfully worship thy Hop in the beauty of blissful bitterness.

The Stone Hop Revolver series has allowed us to really show off the individuality of particular hop varieties. Hop Worship takes this to another level and showcases the art of blending hops. Loral and Citra combine to make a citrus bomb that also offers quite a bit of complexity with nice floral and herb characteristics.

Draught. Deep golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, nectar, some slight nutty tones. Flavour is fruity, caramelly, some mild berries, dried fruits and a bit plummy tones. Nice kicking, but still also mellow bitterness in the finish.

Expected more body. Quite one-dimensional with an extraordenary hoppy finish. A little bit too much.

12oz can. Poured a clear dark yellow color with a medium sized white head. Juicy citrus, floral hops with a touch of resin and grapefruit. Hits that Stone hopiness that is just so good. Enjoyable, crisp. Mild bitterness.

rated 11/3/18 - Clear deep gold pour. Nice lacing. It has an assertive citrus and floral hop aroma. The flavor is crisp and bitter with good citrus notes. There's a tasty hopped up finish. Very good. It's hard to decide which is better, this one or Scorpion Bowl.

Can. Translucent golden brown body, slightly hazy; medium tight off-white/beige head. Aroma of citrus and citrus peel, mostly orange/tangerine, a tad floral too; sweet. Sweet, floral body with loads of tropical fruit - papaya juice, guava, and tangerine, finishing bitter/peppery. Pillowy mouthfeel. Solid IPA.

Can from O'Brien's, Athlone [100718]
Amber, clear, big frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of lemon, sweet grapefruit, pale malt, sweet resin, slight herbal note
Taste of sweet pale caramel malt, citrus zest, sweet hop resins, unusual sweet malts, rather malty as the hops have faded
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, quite rich body. Alcohol well hidden. Finish of sweet malts, fairly bitter linger, hint of tea?
Overall - Rather malty, can is a bit old
