Blik 50cl thuis als Carlsberg Elephant Extra Strong 10.5. Maltig, grainy, syrup, kruidig, boozy, klein bittertje. (9-10-2021).

Getrunken als Carlsberg Elephant Extra Strong 10.5. Bockbier mit irren 10,5 % Alk. und unbekannter Stammwürze. Nur Malz zu verwenden war wohl zu teuer oder zu aufwändig. Deshalb wurde zusätzlich Glucosesirup (die Universalwaffe der modernen Lebensmittelindustrie) verwendet. Damit die Hefe auch genug kurzkettige Kohlenhydrate hat, um Alkohol zu bilden. Farblich geht das als heller Bock durch. Geruch purer Alkohol mit deutlichen Sektnoten. Geschmacklich ist das etwas abgeschwächter. Kommt eher wie ein Export auf Steroiden rüber - sehr viel Steroiden und radioaktivem Alienmutagen. Neben den zuvor beschrieben Geschmacksnuancen, merkt man klar den Hopfen (ein Teil der bitteren Noten kommt aber vom Alkohol) und leichte Birnennoten. Durchaus trinkbar, keine Frage. Irgendwo aber auch etwas zu heftig, dass echter Genuss aufkommen kann.

Als 0,5 Liter Dose, Carlsberg Elephant Extra Strong - und man merkt die Kunstaromen schon derb in der Nase. Optisch dunkles Kupfer, bestimmt gefärbt. Im Trunk sehr alkoholisch, wird mittig richtig derb, sonst nur Malz, etwas Karamell. Für den schnellen Suff vielleicht dienlich.

Can. Clear dark gold with a big white head. Aroma of honey, grains, grass and floral hops. Taste of malts, caramel, cough syrup, honey, grains and herbs. Far too sweet. Obscene level of alcoholic presence and general imbalance. Medium carbonation. I‘m beyond grateful I didn’t have to finish this by myself. As it got warmer finishing my glass became a race against time and looming sickness.

Canned es Elephant extra strong. Pours clear light amber liquid with a small white head. Nose: grains, candy, nail polish, higher spirits. Full body. Average carbonation. Taste: chewy, grainy, medium sweet, moderately alcoholic. Candy, esters, distant nail polish. Light bitterness. Totally unnecessary but relatively drinkable in comparison to some style brothers.

Bottle from MiP, thanks! Golden color. Grainy, somewhat vegetable-like aroma. Grainy but warm alcoholic flavor with hints of peach and vegetables. Soft soapy bitterness in the short finish.
