Gravity cask at the GBBF Winter 2023 Festival, day 2 at Burton On Trent Town Hall, 17/02/23. Pitch black with a well presented tan head. Nose is chocolate biscuit, nutty, dried fruit rinds, mellow roasted tones. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, molasses, sticky fruits, roast malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent cask stout.

Half-pint, cask ale at Wellington. Good looking with a low creamy, fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Deep dark with a shade of red. Roasted malty nose, hints of dark chocolate. Dark doughy flavours added by chocolate and discreet hints of dark berries. Smoothly roasted finish. Easy to drink. Decent stout. (Rochdale 02.05.2018).

Cask (handpump) @ MBCF17 [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2017 ] Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England M2 3GX. [ As Serious Moonlight ].Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, roasted - chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170119] 6-3-7-3-13

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer fest 2016. A dark black brown coloured pour with a loose mid tan head . Aroma is dry earthy roast, pinch of milky choc, . Flavour is composed of dry roast, little jam, berry. Soft roast. Lactose. Palate is medium bodied, highish carbonation. Good Stout.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a small off-white creamy head. Has an easy-drinking texture with as good roasted malt aroma and taste, that’s not overly stated.
