The wife and I stayed here overnight on 9th May 2017 and I obviously had all five of their beers that were on tap that evening: this being the second. Dull, deep golden body, full white crown on top. Like the Deutsches Pilsner, this was also leaning towards sweetness rather than a tangy, hoppy Pils. Thought it fine, if a bit predestrian in nature.

(swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Grainy and slightly doughy malty aroma with a shy herbal hoppy background. Bitter-sweet flavour, not too light bodied as the low abv could suggest, crisp, even a bit sharp carbonation. Strawy malt character with doughy and grainy spots; mildly herbal hoppy spice gets stronger towards the finish. Decent Pils, nothing special. 27.VI.16

Beugelbuddel:Golden, hazy, stable and almost mid-sized white lacy head; mild, but peppery (Saazy?) hoppy nose with a delikate pale- malty background; almost moderate bitter-sweet flavour, malty base detectable, light to medium bodied, very soft; lingering hoppy and pale- malte finish. Totaler underrated semi-bohemian Pilsener...

Draught at the brauhaus
Hazy deep blond color with generous creamy head. The aroma is light, simple, very light grassy. Some malt flavor, light cereals, ordinary bitterness.
Not bad, but quite anonymous.

Draught, Weintanne, Jena. Porued a hazy golden body with a big thick white head. Sweetish dusty malty nose, somewhat eggy. Creamy grainy taste, husky. Actually dusty, could’ve used more of the lemony hopiness but the balance isn’t off. I like this brewery!

Dunkel getreidiger Geruch. Test vom 11.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,8,11,8 - 8,45
