Draught @ Störtebeker Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aromanof citrus, hops and yeast, with hints of ginger. Bitter and spicy flavour of hops, ginger, and curcuma (of all things), with estery notes and malty touches. Spicy and estery aftertaste with mild acidic touches. Well, not bad as such, but it appeard more healthy than tasty.

01-05-20 // 330ml bottle from naiv. Quite clear with some fine particles floating. Spicy peppery nose. Hard to blindly judge this style. A good bitterness. Wouldn’t say Brut necessarily. Loads of spices. Peppery, belgian touches. Good bitterness. Interesting.

330ml bottle. Yellow-ish golden colour, lots of tiny floaters, otherwise clear, average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Spicy aroma, notes of ginger, a touch of cinnamon, yellow curry. Taste is soapy, spicy, minimally citrusy hoppy, notes of ginger, a touch of pepper and cinnamon, some lemon, yellow curry, pale malty basis. Watery texture, somehow normal, neutral, unremarkable palate. Nowadays there are a lot of beers out there that handle the ginger a way better and burke this soapy interference completely. Nice, relatively mildly spiced compostion overall, just not without flaws.
