Mönchshof Hell ist so, wie es der Genießer erwartet: Golden in der Farbe und durch seine zurückhaltende, feine Hopfung „b‘sonders mild“ im Geschmack.
Traditionell hoch vergoren, verleihen ihm drei ausgesuchte Hopfengaben zum richtigen Zeitpunkt seine ausgewogene, weiche Note – Bittere ist kaum spürbar. Ein genussvoller Teil bayerischer Lebens- und Bierkultur!

Bottle @ benzai. Clear yellow with a small white head. Smells malty, grains, pilsener. Tastes very sweet, very malty, some herbs.. Typical German. Medium body, nice carbo.

Bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with abundant but airy white head. Clear aroma of hop with a slightly paperlike finish. Mild, watery taste with hoppy and paperlike notes. A good refresher but not quite my favourite kind of beer.

Yorma’s Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof. Clear yellow-golden body, small white head. Sulphury, eggy, malty aroma, meh. Dull malty taste, solid, ok even bready notes, eggs again, light bitterness. Not my type of lager.

Przeciętne piwo, spodziewałem się czegoś znacznie lepszego. Słodkawe, mało nachmielone piwo z ubogą pianą. Butelka typu swing-top i malownicza etykieta jest zdecydowanie najciekawsza po tym piwie

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, not very dry. Fine malty with spicy notes. A bit grasy. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Nice!

A decent outing from Monchshof. Average helles lager here, nothing to set it apart form the crowd, but not bad either. I was hoping for a really exceptional one, as I’ve had decent beers from Monchshof in the past, but will settle for it on a hot day...

Laff süßlicher Beginn, geringe Getredenoten. Sofort nimmt der Geschmack ab und das Bier wird wässrig, wenig herb, monoton. Laffer Ausklang. Durch und durch schlecht. 7/4/7/4/7/4

Bottle at DSG 2011. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, apple, grass. Flavour is fruit, malt, citrus, apple, grass. Ordinary beer.

Golden colour, small white head. Aroma of malts, grain, white bread, yeast, slight citrus, slight hops. Flavour rather like slices of white bread, including the slightly cloying feeling at the top of your palate when you are about to swallow it. Rather sweet. Light carbonation. Very mild. When given some time to breathe, it develops a cardboard background.
