Ein dunkles, leicht säuerliches belgisches Starkbier mit einem robusten Körper aus 6 Malzen. Englische Hefe sorgt für die erste Gärung. Danach wird das Bier neun weitere Monate in Grauburgunder Eichenfässer ausgelagert und dort mit Brettanomyces, Pediococcus sowie Lactobacillus nachvergoren.

Meine Version von 2021 hat 8,4%. Dunkelbraune Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, säuerlicher, fruchtiger, weinartiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, säuerlich, weinartig, fruchtig nach Beerenobst. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle sample at a Leo Cell's tasting at Porter & Sons. 2017 bottle. Brown. Vinegar, malt red fruits, caramel, a bit of oxidation, sourish-sweetish.

Clear red brown beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, little adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty oxidized, vinegar, dirty, malty touch, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, lots of vinegar, green apples, some citrus, malty touch. Aftertaste: very sour, bitter, some tannins.

Draft during Carnevale Brettanomyces. Dark brown color. Plum and cocoa aroma. Taste is sweet andvsour dark roast.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Pre-Borefts 2017 Tasting ] - @ Brouwerij Kwartje, Frederikstraat 837, 2514LZ Den Haag, Netherlands. [ As Alefried Oud Bruin ].Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, wood, berry, funky, sour berry - vineous. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart, wood, berry, sweet malt, caramel, sour berry - vineous.
