Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing! Smooth nice and malty beginning. Not much bitterness, easy to drink with roasted caramelly hints. Nice roasty long aftertaste with dark brown sugar. Nice one!

Growler bottle kindly filled by the brauhaus in Durlach
Cloudy red-amber color; medium sized compact head. Delicate, nice hoppy aroma, and also biscuity malts; fresh, a bit floral. Medium body strength; caramel flavor, some malt; moderate (pleasant) residual sweetness; the bitterness, as it happens for Vogel’s beers, tends to be a bit too much; when warmer, the final shows a light sweetness that balances better the bitterness. Rough but pleasant.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, caramel, bread, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, mallt, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 100 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a creamy beige head – quite nice. Lovely flowery hop aroma with biscuit accents and a little caramel, a little diacetyl as it warms. Medium body, again these flowery almost candy-like accents, very smooth mouthfeel and then a massive late bitterness. Surprisingly hoppy for a German Bock – but nice indeed. 250311
