Bottle thanks to Seth. Pours a dark copper with medium off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong pine, grapefruit, spruce. Medium mouth, dry hop, spice, boozy, resin finish, very good.

Dark and cloudy amber colour in the glass, extremely hop-aromatic in the nose. Lots of grassy flowery aroma. The beer starts too malty and sweet for a really great IPA. Sadly the hop-aroma is at the beginning under a thick layer of sweet malt aroma and a hint of alcohol. In the mainpart the hops are able to fight the malty body, that is in my eyes absolutely needless - Here the hops should be in the foreground and nothing else! The sweetish malty taste gets down (fortunately) and floral nice grassy hops arouse. The aftertaste is intense, not too bitter, very great floral and bloomy. Great aromatic - wouldn’t be there the annoying malt-body that starts again its way into the foreground, overrunning the great hops again… On the tongue stays a mixture of ugly malty and alcoholic waste together with great and nice floral hop aroma.
--> a great beer - but with the malty body sadly no B+/A - beer. It could have been, but broke down due to the too sweet-malty body. And - by the way - where is the promised Belgium-Style? Haven’t tasted anything. No typical Belgium maltiness, no typical Belgium yeast. And the next promise that couldn’t be fulfilled.
In total: Nice and great aromatic beer, but for a sigel-hop series the absolutely wrong malty body chosen! Thanks again nimbleprop for this experience! --> 12/10/11/12

On tap at the brewery. Pours a honey comb orange with some lacing white head. Nose is really nice, punchy citrus, grapefruit, orange, gobs of pine, plenty of Belgian character too, sweet, honey comb, mild spice. Flavor is the same, the Belgian candy sweetness is the backbone, malt, candy, honey comb, then the Chinook really shines, piney, almost spruce, grapefruit, orange. Sticky, bitter finish. Really nice.
