Bottled. Black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is maple syrupy sweetness, some wood, mild toast as well as some liquorice. Flavour is sweet syrupy notes along with some spices, mild wood and toasted notes. Also a slight sweet sting of alcohol.

Pours dark brown with minimal tan head. Aroma is vanilla, banana, toffee and a bad animal smell. Thin and watery. Short finish. Bad.

Many thanks to TeddyBeer for this bottle! Dark in the glass with beige head. The beer starts slightly sour, but very stout-typical. Heavy and black, but not as thick as expected. Quite fresh and easy to drink, but noway watery - the beer is full of complex aroma, slightly dry and nice sour-malted balanced. Only the aftertaste could be a bit longer - it stays somewhere in the back of the mouth with its taste, but cannot cover the whole tongue with its aroma. Very interesting thing! Therefore it tends to loose its aftertaste quite medium to fast, but a roasted, dry and sourish stout-note remains quite long!
--> very interesting oatmeal stout! Dry, roasted barley and oats, stout-sourness and a really full body with a high drinkability!

03/12 0.33 l bottle @El Estribo, Madrid. It poured hazy dark brown body with medium sized brown head. Coffee aroma, some unpasteurized hops. Flavor was lightly bitter, coffee with cream, cocoa and dark chocolate. Herbal hops created more sourness than roasted malts. Medium in body with creamy, smooth texture, unlike many coffee dominated beers. Finish was long, again roasted malts with quite sour note of hops, which could be a bit reduced I guess. Alcohol was not felt. Anyway, a pleasant little dark beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Black colour with a creamy, good duration and medium lasting beige head. Aroma is light toasty malts and dark coffee. Flavor is strong dark coffee, black chocolate; cocoa at the final, also slightly bittery. Carbonation and body are medium. Texture is light oily. Note: According to the brewer is an Oatmeal Stout. Too cold when the waiter serves the beer, it is necessary to wait for a minutes.
