Stoke up the fire and break out the s’mores. Big chocolate and sweet gooey marshmallow rises with hints of mocha. The sticky sweet aroma ebbs to tart flavour and a dry body. Gram cracker like biscuit mixes with roast cocoa notes. The sour finish will have you burning for more.

Deep black in the glass. Nice sourness over roasted grain. Caramel, sweet pastries, wood in the back. The sourness is fruity with sour cherries and ripe soured plums. Great depth, fruity roasted grainy espresso dry aftertaste. Nice.

Keg at BD Soho, 07/02/20. Light to mid black with a decent tan cap. Nose is bitter sweet berries, light acidic nostril tickle, barnyard esters, cherry skins, hint of damp tobacco, wood must. Taste comprises dark chocolate chips, tarte red berry skins, leather, light black peppery spice, fruit cake, farmyard twang, vinous trace. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced but slightly aggressive acidic throat scrape. Solid dark sour hybrid.

Really unique sour, dry yet a full body with the typical brewdog feel. Tart and mildly roasty but not bitterly roasty. Brewdog Manchester

Bottke from Dogtap. It pours opaque black with a small dark tan head. The aroma is bright, tangy, fizzy cola bottles, cola cubes, toasty, oily, vanilla, sherbet, cacao nibs, charred wood, pink marshmallow, bubblegum and biscuit. The taste is dry, tart, puckering, zingy, bright acidity, fizzy cola bottles, sherbert, sour candy, oily, bircher museli, toasty, light vanilla, dull, marshmallow, touch of spice and light biscuit with a tangy, slightly acidic finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty bizarre stuff. Aroma is crazy bonkers. Taste is a bit harsh to be honest and not up to the aroma.

Keg at Brewdog Canary wharf. A opaque, dark brown black coloured pour with a fading halo of tan head. Aroma is odd, sweet pasty stout meets tangy cola cube, rum booze, cherry, vanilla. Flavour is composed of medium sweet and sour, plucking citric sour, sour cherry. Hint of choc, some vanilla sweetness.. Sour citrus finish. Insane beer. Palate is very sweet and sour in both measures, moderate fine carbonation.
