Bottle 50 cl. Pours an orangey amber with a small, beige head. Nutty, slightly greasy aroma. Medium body, nutty, some sweet caramel and hardly any hops. Pretty generic Brown Ale but without major flaws. 120917

Big beige head. Clear brown body with strong carbonation. Earthy dusty rye aroma with sugary mineraly notes. Dryish roasty mineraly taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-acidic earthy roasty bubblegum aftertaste with mineraly caramelly mealy notes. Mealy flavour lingers. Interesting. It’s drinkable, very different, but harmonic. The mealiness is really the biggest issue. (0.5l bottle, from somewhere in Riga.)

Thanks to Elisabeth and Stefan for sharing this one, 500ml bottle airborne from Riga. Nice label design/artwork. Cloudy dark orange coloured body topped by a low grey head. Minimal lacing. Modest aroma of nuts, earth-like malts, mid-sweet. Brown malty flavours with a caramel scent supported by a touch of herbal hops. Yeasty hints to a malt-fruity ending – a bit jam like. Medium minus bodied. Alright, not more (session in Tromsø 09.01.2014).
