Gweilo Stout is rich and full bodied whilst remaining sessionable at 5.5%. The unique blend of malts delivers a coffee ☕ and chocolate 🍫 profile with notes of almond 🥜🌰. This compliments the creaminess from the oats, producing a deeply satisfying stout.

A World Cup Of Beers#6. HONG KONG. An international brew with the football, this dryish near black brew has hints of roasted, fruit and chocolate, but for me is understated. On the flip side it could be considered a crisp and subtle stout, but I think that's me trying to find something from it. It's not undrinkable though, with a fair dark malt profile. Drank whilst watching the sixth game of the tournament - Brazil vs Morocco.

On nitro tap at Hong Kong Island Taphouse, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out red fruits, a hint of tartness, and toasted malt. Flavour is really weak, with gently tart red fruits and very light toasted malt. Thin body with little depth. Lame stuff.

Cocoa and a bit of stale chocolate. Jet black with a decent beige head. Old chocolate and a bit of soured red fruit.

Tap at Mash, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, charcoal, dry coffee, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter with a smooth, roasty, light toffee caramel, light metallic, liqourice hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. A decent stout, but a little watery and lacks body. I wasn’t keen on the watery metallic notes in the finish.
