Many of the apple varieties we harvest around Pender Island were staples valued by European settlers for fresh eating, cooking, juicing and, of course, homestead cider making. We recreated a blend that would have been commonly found on homestead tables: Melba, Golden Russet, Winter Banana, and Gravenstein, along with a mix of French and English bittersharps and bittersweets from homesteads on North and South Pender including our cidery orchard. Just as it would have traditionally been served, this cider is still, dry and cellar aged.

Clear gold with no head. Baking spices and light apple bake. Turmeric notes and dry peel.

Pale, soft cider with light tartness and earthy apple character. Decent stuff.

750mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a quickly-dissipating white head. Nose is full of crisp, dry apples, wild yeast, and some oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with musty apples, oak, and some wild yeast. Oaky and musty. Nice stuff.
