Gravity cask at 13th Elysian Winter Beer Festival in Ely. Dark maroon brown color, edge bubbles. Nice raspberry aroma on a dark roast background. Taste is fruity berries in earthy espresso, dark cocoa edge. Light body. Nice

Handpull cask at the Flying Pig, Cambridge. Very dark brown and pretty much flat. Bit of khaki head on the edges. Lots of chocolate although not so much raspberry or any fruit. Taste starts off ok - a chalky bittersweet - but turns a bit acrid and sour on the finish. Body’s ok but the aftertaste is quite astringent, which does not work for the beer overall. The finish is anything but mellow!

Black with thin creamy head. Perfumey raspberry in the aroma. Flavour is mostly dark bitter roasted malts with sweet and tart raspberry coming through more in the aftertaste.
