A delicious combination of British and continental barleys brewed with the rare Amarillo hop from the USA and traditional English hops to give a brew of exceptional flavour and taste. A subtle, zesty aroma leads to a pronounced tropical fruit flavour, tempered by a crisp, fresh finish, on a biscuit like-malt foundation.

Pale blond with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a huge amount of fresh, sweet malts. Smells like an old fashioned brewery. I don’t detect any notes of citrus or Amarillo as promised though.

Golden colour. Pours a touch hazy but clears. Thin white head. Very light zesty scent. Flavour is lemony with a touch of almost bready malt. It’s a touch watery but there’s a lingering tanginess to it. At 4 percent it’d very sessionable on a hot day, even if there’s nothing particularly notable about it.

Half, cask at Treaty of Commerce. Clear amber-gold coloured body topped by a dense white head leaving good amount of lacing down the glass. Malt-fruity nose. Mixed taste of lemony hops, grapefruit and caramel. Moderately bittersweet ending. Fine bodied. A good one. Moreish (Lincoln 12.07.2014).

Cask at the Kings Head, Buckingham. Yellow, almost straw. Impressive white head. A thin grapefruit and lemongrass aroma, not particularly interesting but pleasant enough. Basic fruity bittersweet, not much to it. Watery palette, short finish. I expected more, not sure why. A boring beer-by-numbers. Shame.
