Our first brew and one that was born out of our quest for uncompromising quality. A wonderfully golden session ale with fresh malt and hop aroma, leading to a satisfying bitter finish. Maris Otter dominates the malt bill, backed by heaps of Cascade and Centennial hops.

Craft Clerkenwell. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light palate, very slightly soft. Very mild carbonation. Light floralness and sweetish marmalade citrus. Neutral finish. It’s fine and went well with the Craft’s delicious spicy pork pie!

A half pint, served at a fin drinking temperature by hand pump at the Whitelocks pub in Leeds. Amber coloured body. Creamy white head, ring lacing to the glassware. Dried and fresh fruity smell. Malt-fruity taste with notes of red orange coming through. Smooth bitter ending. Oily texture. More than satisfying (12.07.2012).

On tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours hazy, amber with a proportionate head. The nose has grapefruit and some pale malt in the background. The taste has more of the same. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a clean finish. Overall, a nice beer.

Cask at Southampton Arms, London on 29th April 2012. Pale amber with thin off-white foam. Citric hoppy aroma. Grapefruit hoppiness and grassy bitterness in-mouth and finish that’s both bitter and grapefruity citric. Satisfying.

Cask at The Coal Hole, Nicholson’s, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a foamy, white head. Leaves and hay in the nose. Some citrusy sweetness in the flavor, generic leafy/grassy bitterness, some hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky sweet finish, somewhat heavy on the tongue, with grassy bitterness that seems somewhat artificial and some toasted hay. Average, very average.
