On tap at Mule Bar.
Appearance: dark brown color with a one finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely inward and left some light spotty lace.
Aroma: roasty nuts, caramel/toffee malts, sweet earthiness
Flavor: moderately follows the aromas semi-sweetly; little bit of a super light aftertaste of nuts and caramel/toffee malts
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper, fairly smooth along tongue; brisk finish of nuts and earthiness
Overall: I'd say a pretty nicely done imperial brown ale I would have again.

Black with prominent head. Aroma and flavour have subtle charcoal and hints of caramelised pineapple. Delivers what it promised.

Total Wine probably: pours darkish brown with a light beige head. Aroma is chocolate, hints of pineapple, malts. Taste is somewhat bitter. Kind of malty. Not too much smoke or pineapple to be honest. Bitter aftertaste. Meh.

$12.99 bomber, Wine Warehouse. Fukkit, I fell asleep before 7 last night and got up at 5, I think 11:30 is just fine for beer. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted nuts, light rubber, caramel, pineapple. Flavor is charred wood, rubber, light pineapple, nuts, burnt coffee grounds. I like smoke in beers (and food), but this tastes like it was burnt on the bottom of a pan and left to keep burning. Bummer... was hoping this would be a winner.
